I’m having a hard time getting really organized this school year. It is taking me a while to wake up early and to start the day running around. I was kind of done with summer and a bit excited for this school year, but somehow it is taking me a while to get on track. The good thing is that I discovered this almond and chocolate bars recipe and it is amazing! It is the perfect lift me up treat when I’m having lazy afternoons.

- 1 cup shredded coconut
- 1 cup slivered almonds
- 2 tablespoons coconut oil
- 4 tablespoons agave or maple syrup
- 1/4 cup cocoa
- 11/4 cup dark chocolate chunks
- 1/4 teaspoon sea salt or Maldon
In a food processor add the coconut, slivered almonds, coconut oil, agave syrup and cocoa.
Turn the food processor on and let it run until everything is well integrated.
It should hold together when pressed between your fingers.
Add the mixture in a pan and press with your fingers until firm.
Melt the chocolate in a double boiler. When done, pour on top of the nut mixture.
Finish with a few sprinkles of salt and let it cool.Cut into pieces and store in the fridge or a cool place.
