oat milk.

Why you will love oat milk as much as me

Oat milk, when compared to almond milk cashew milk, and soy milk, is much easier to make, cheaper, and packed with many more nutrients and fats. Oat milk is especially rich in protein, fiber, and calcium.

I mean… Who doesn’t know how great you feel after eating a big oatmeal bowl for breakfast? Since I tried oat milk and discovered how easy it is to make at home, I’ve been using it EVERYWHERE.

I pour it into my coffee to make the best latte, my tea, smoothies, cereal… I have even cooked with it. It is creamy and delicious, with a much better texture than other alternatives.

This milk alternative is also perfect more making ice cream. YUM. I’m sure you are going to love it as well. Oat milk is quickly becoming my favorite dairy-free beverage.

How to make flavored oat milk?

And if you like flavored milk, this oat milk recipe is a great base to add flavor to it. You can use a bit of raw sugar to sweeten it up or add some dates with a pinch of salt and a dash of vanilla.

You could also use cocoa powder or cinnamon when blending it. Any way you decide to flavor it, trust that it will taste delicious.

Will oatmeal make me fat?

No! Quite the contrary. Oatmeal milk, believe it or not, has more calcium per serving than a glass of cow’s milk. It also contains way less fat than dairy.

You can be confident that oat’s milk is nothing but good for you, with a bountiful amount of vitamins(such as vitamin d, vitamins a, and many b vitamins), minerals, and a good balance of carbs(carbohydrates).

tips, tricks & Other recipes

Here are some tips and tricks to make the best dairy-free oat milk.

  • It doesn’t matter if you use rolled oats or instant oats. Your milk will be delicious. I personally prefer rolled oats, however.
  • Use an old kitchen towel or an old t-shirt to strain the oat milk if you don’t have a nut milk bag. You can also use any cheesecloth.
  • It is better if you make your oat milk in a highspeed blender like the Vitamix, but any other blender will work.
  • Do not blend for more than 40 seconds, this can make it slimy.
  • Here are other recipes with oats that I love: blender oat pancakes, vegan oat bars, oats in granola.
