These strawberry hibiscus margaritas are delicious with or without alcohol. They are perfect for sharing a Mexican drink with the family. I love the combination of hibiscus and strawberry, they complement each other very well, strawberry is sweet and hibiscus is tart.

WHY ARE YOU GOING TO FALL IN LOVE WITH THESE STRAWBERRY Margaritas?

This strawberry hibiscus margaritas recipe screams “Viva México” all over the place, from the ingredients, the colors, and flavors. I love putting sugar and chili powder on the rim of the glass prepped with chili ancho or Tajin, mixed with a little sugar and lime. The combination of ingredients is perfect.

INGREDIENTS OF STRAWBERRY AND JAMAICA margaritas

  • Jamaica. Hibiscus tea concentrate; this is when you steep dry hibiscus flower to make hibiscus tea.
  • Water, it is best to always use filtered water.
  • Sugar, use the sugar you have at home; it can be brown or white sugar, whichever you prefer.
  • Frozen strawberries. When you buy your strawberries, read the ingredient list and be sure to buy unsweetened.

HOW TO MAKE STRAWBERRY AND JAMAICA MARGARITAS WITHOUT ALCOHOL?

In the blender is the easiest way to make them. I make these strawberry hibiscus margaritas in two simple steps:

  • Blend. I put the hibiscus concentrate, the water, the sugar, and the frozen strawberries in the blender container. It is better to have a high-power blender like a Vitamix so that the frozen strawberries blend completely.
  • Frost. For the glasses, run a lemon through the rim of the glass and then dip on a plate with a mixture of chili and sugar.
  • Optional. Slice some strawberries and put them on top to finish and decorate the margaritas.
🔥How to make strawberry and hibiscus margaritas with Tequila?

Follow the same steps as the non-alcoholic margarita.

Add the hibiscus concentrate, the frozen strawberries and add tequila (the amount you want, start with a small quantity and then add more). Blend until everything is well mixed and serve in the glasses frosted with chili.

BENEFITS OF JAMAICA FLOWER AND STRAWBERRY

Hibiscus has many antioxidants that help us with many things; this margarita is more than just a refreshing drink. Hibiscus tea is one of the drinks that have the most antioxidants in the world. Strawberries have a lot of vitamin C, fiber, and many benefits. So with these strawberry hibiscus margaritas:

  • We refresh ourselves on a hot summer day.
  • We celebrate Cinco de Mayo, September 16 or any other Mexican fiesta. Or they’re perfect for a good family reunion or a quiet afternoon.
  • And one of the best parts is that while drinking something refreshing and delicious, we are nurturing ourselves with antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals.

HOW TO SERVE STRAWBERRY MArgaritas?

These margaritas can be served with a Mexican snack like a good molcajete sauce with corn chips, pineapple, and black bean salsa, or a mango ceviche. You can also serve them with a Mexican main dish: mushroom tacos, with vegan rajas con queso, with some sopes or chilaquiles.

TIPS AND TRICKS and other things

  • Taste the hibiscus concentrate before putting it in the blender. If it is not very strong in flavor, you can put it in place of water. If it is very concentrated, add more water before making the margaritas. Do not throw away the hibiscus flower after making hibiscus water or tea; with hibiscus flowers, you can make tacos.
  • It is important that you let the tea cool, if you put the hot tea, the strawberries will defrost, and you no longer have the frappe effect.
  • If you do not have frozen strawberries, use regular strawberries and add ice and not use water.
  • Margaritas mean daisies in Spanish.
  • You could also serve as a big pitcher instead of individual glasses.
  • Customize the spicy rim and do your favorite.
