  • blender
  • nut milk bag or old kitchen towel


  • 1 cup of hazelnuts
  • 3 cups of water
  • 3-4 tablespoons of cocoa
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup or agave syrup
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • a pinch of sea salt


  • Soak the hazelnuts in cool, filtered water for 6-8 hours or overnight.
  • When time passes, drain and blend very well with the three cups of clean water.
  • Add the cocoa, maple syrup, vanilla and a pinch of salt. Blend again and taste, adjust the flavor if necessary.
  • In a wide-mouth jar, a bowl or a jug, put a mesh to make milk, an old kitchen towel or a very fine strainer. Strain the milk
  • Serve cold or on ice.
