Vegan homemade waffles with cherry orange and chia jam
These homemade waffles are perfect for a delicious and nutritious breakfast, have them ready in the fridge or freezer. This is an easy recipe, perfect for the whole family; it is vegan and easy to make.
In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, salt, baking powder, and chia. Make a well in the center and pour in the milk mixture and oil. Mix well until it forms a thick batter.
Start making waffles, but first check if it is necessary to put a little bit of oil in the waffle iron to prevent sticking.
Once the waffles are ready, combine the cherries, orange juice, chia, and sugar in a saucepan. Cook over medium heat until the cherries are thawed and the liquid has evaporated slightly.
To serve each waffle add a spoonful of cherries on the top, natural maple syrup and chopped pistachios

If you are gluten-free, substitute the whole wheat flour for gluten-free flour.
